Levelling up a brokerage you already run
The business exists, it writes loans, and the question has changed. It is no longer how to start; it is why growth has stalled, where the time goes, and which of the things you could fix actually matters.
What people are actually asking
- You are busy and it is not turning into more settlements.
- Your referral relationships happen by accident rather than by design.
- You do good work and cannot explain in a sentence who you are for.
- Clients fall through the cracks between enquiry and settlement and you cannot see where.
What is on the other end
Their offering, in their terms.
Business strategy
Where the business is now, where you want it to go, and what has to change to get there. The unglamorous version of this is usually the useful one.
Referral growth
Better referral conversations, stronger professional relationships and a partnership strategy rather than a hope. Worth saying that this is a discipline we take seriously ourselves, which is why we recognise it as real work.
Marketing and positioning
What you stand for, who you serve, and how to say it. Most brokers are clearer on this in conversation than anywhere a client can read it.
Process improvement
Where work slows down, where clients fall through, and where structure would buy consistency. Reviewed, identified, planned and then supported through implementation rather than handed over as a document.
Before you take our word for it
We are not neutral about where this goes.
Broker Sidekick is a separate business in which Nicholas Clunes holds an interest, and he is named on their own site as the technology support on the Start pathway. We are telling you that here rather than leaving you to find it. This site is paid nothing for sending you there, and there are other people who do this work.
Broker Sidekick works with mortgage brokers building their own business. This firm arranges commercial finance only and offers no consumer credit at all. If you write residential loans and a client turns up wanting to buy a business or a warehouse, those are two different doors and neither of us is standing in the other one.
